After going to Dewberry Farm, the children began writing about the field trip. We are learning how to use graphic organizers to put down all their ideas for their topic writing. They will use these graphic organizers to help them write their books during writer's workshop.

Dewberry Farm!
We went on our field trip to Dewberry Farm. The children had so much fun! When we arrived, we went on the tractor ride to see the Christmas trees and pumpkin patch. They even got to pick their own pumpkin! After the ride, we went to see the honey bees and learned that the female bees are the ones that work and the men honey bees are lazy. Interesting! We also went into a dark room where there are hundreds of carved pumpkins lit up. It was amazing. The children got to go feed the goats, see baby chicks, and animals. Once we covered all the basics of Dewberry Farm, the children got to play on some of the activities like the big slide and cow ride.

They got to pet animals, go on a train ride to see where they grown the Christmas trees, and play on some of the slides and playground equipment. It was a great day!
