Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin seeds!
Here's the inside of the pumpkin before I scooped out the seeds.

Our final product for our Jack-o-Lantern!

Used a flashlight to light up our Jack-o-lantern.
The class voted on what they wanted the Jack-o-lanterns

Bess the Book Bus

Bess the Book Bus came to Woodview! It is a bus that travels around and gives books to students in need. Their goal is to build libraries for families and increase literacy. It was really fun for the students to participate in and get to see! Check out their website: http://bessthebookbus.org/

Girls on the Run

This year the after school program was able to participate in Girls on the Run Greater Houston. The girls practiced twice a week running and participating in self-esteem and motivational lessons on being a well-rounded person. It increased their confidence, how to handle conflict, and ability to be a better person and athlete.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

The students have been learning about word families and rhyming words. We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd by making Cat in the Hat shaped hats with their choice of rhyming words and word families. It was fun!
